Texenén Déniz González

Texenén Déniz González was born in Gran Canaria (Spain) and began his musical studies in his hometown, Arucas. He received a bachelor’s degree at the Ghent and Canary Islands conservatories, followed by a master's degree at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel and a second master's degree at Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

He recently won the 3rd prize at the Gazzelloni Piccolo Competition in Pescara, Italy.

Texenen has been Solo piccolo with the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra and collaborates regularly with different orchestras in the Netherlands and Spain.

He is member of the Khufu-Anch Wind Quintet and the Lothar Siemens Contemporary Music Ensemble.

Together with the KCB Symfonieorkest in Brussels he played "Originel (…explosante-fixe…)” by P. Boulez at the Euroclassical Music Festival. He also performed at the International Music Festival of the Canary Islands, the International Bach Festival, as well as at many festivals in Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and China.
