Thanks to my musical friends Olivier Patey, Korbinian Altenberger, Marko Milenkovic, Ofer Canetti, the young talents Michelle Kumara and Evy Hamers, as well as to the perfect organization by Danielle Coppens, Cornelia van Hilten and Karen de Wit, this evening became a very special one.

At the end of the concert I received the Municipal Medal of Honor from the hands of our mayor Leendert de Lange. I would like to dedicate this honorable award to everyone who has supported me and the ICMF in the past 15 years. It takes a village to organize a festival: for that I am grateful.

In closing: goodbye does not mean we will never hear from each other again. After the concert, the board of the ICMF Wassenaar decided to spend the remaining amount of the Foundation's donations in the coming years on chamber music master classes for young talents. Starting in 2025, I and my (inter)national musical friends will annually share our love of music with young talent in one concert at a beautiful location in or around Wassenaar.
